Janie van Hool is a prominent communication expert specialising in leadership development programmes and executive coaching. Joel Bakan is professor of law at the University of British Columbia, and an internationally renowned legal scholar and commentator. A former Rhodes Scholar and law clerk to Chief Justice Brian Dickson of the Supreme Court of Canada, Bakan has law degrees from Oxford, Dalhousie, and Harvard. His critically acclaimed book, The Corporation: The Pathological Pursuit of Profit and Power (2004), electrified readers around the world (it was published in over 20 languages), and became a bestseller in several countries. Bakan wrote and co-created (with Mark Achbar) a feature documentary film, The Corporation. The film won numerous awards, including best foreign documentary at the Sundance Film Festival, and was a critical and box office success.
The New Corporation, a sequel to that film, is based on Bakan’s book of the same name and directed by Bakan and Jennifer Abbott. Bakan’s scholarly work includes Just Words: Constitutional Rights and Social Wrongs (1997), as well as textbooks, edited collections, and numerous articles in leading legal and social science journals. His award-winning book, Childhood Under Siege: How Big Business Targets Children (2012), has been translated into several languages. A recipient of awards for both writing and teaching, Bakan has worked on landmark legal cases and government policy, and serves regularly as a public speaker and media commentator. Also a professional jazz guitarist, Bakan lives in Vancouver, Canada with his wife Rebecca Jenkins.

Roland re-joined Kekst CNC in 2019 after five years at BlackRock, Inc., the world’s largest asset management firm, where he held several senior communications roles in London and Frankfurt. Bethel runs Hidden Scars – an organisation that works to share the power of forgiveness and reconciliation. Previously, Bethel worked in the violence against women and girls sector, mainly working to help the fight against forms of violence such as female genital mutilation/ cutting. Tom Rippin is the CEO and Founder of On Purpose that develops leaders for an economy that works for all. He has spent his career at the intersection of the private, public and non-profit sectors, exploring how we can bring about a better economy. After a PhD in cancer research, Tom worked for management consultants McKinsey & Company with private, public and non-profit sector clients. He transitioned into the social enterprise space, working first for the CEO at Comic Relief and then running the international operations of (RED), the business founded by Bono and Bobby Shriver to help eliminate AIDS in Africa.

Charles qualified as a Chartered Accountant at KPMG in London. Charles worked as a senior research officer at the Institute for Fiscal Studies and as a Clerk at the House of Commons where he was Clerk to the Trade and Industry select committee. He went on to become assistant general secretary of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales, where he was principal advisor to the Bishops on domestic public policy issues. Charles is married with four children and lives in Brighton.
Lorna has served as President of multinational consumer goods companies for 20+ years, in Danone, Kraft and Mon-delez. She has been a key leader in Danone’s purpose jour-ney and in 2017, Lorna served as CEO and Chairwoman of Danone North America, where she established that $6 Billion entity as a Public Benefit Corporation.It achieved B Corp sta-tus in 2018, making it the largest B Corp in the world. Lorna was a member of the Global board of Electrolux for 6 years and is now a member of the Social Mission Board of Seventh Generation, the Integrity Board of Sir Kensington (both B Corp companies owned by Unilever),the Advisory Board of Radicle Impact, the board of Guayaki and the board of B Lab Global.

His core markets include Professional Services and Infrastructure. Elliot’s work predominantly involves supporting and consulting with his clients to help achieve their Sustainability and ESG ambitions. He does this by connecting them to freelance individuals with diverse backgrounds and industry knowledge.
Elliot is forging his own path to delve deeper beneath the business skin. He believes that understanding Sustainability and ESG in practice begins by recognising root causes, and then consulting to deliver the best solution to move forward. Elliot has a real passion for sustainability, not only in his career, but as an enthusiastic environmentalist himself.
Stephen has worked with leaders (PMs, Ministers, CEOs) in more than 50 countries. Observing a huge gap in servant leadership, he co-founded the charity Reboot the Future, launched the first ever magazine for change-maker businesses, and co-authored a book about changing the world with Gore, Tutu, Yunus and Rockstrom. He draws heavily from indigenous wisdom and believes that reshaping business with these values is key to healing our planet. He is currently working with leaders to empower regenerative change at Positive, a global community of 175+ purpose-led business leaders fostering Regeneration, Restoration and Equity.
Karin is inspired and committed to facilitating positive transformation within individuals and teams, in order to create change for organizations and society at large. As an artist, Matt has been painting murals for nearly 30 years. In 2015, he created The Good of the Hive, a global art project that ignites radical curiosity for the planet we live on through the lens of art, bees and storytelling. The organization is fueled by Matt’s personal commitment to hand-paint 50,000 honey bees – the number in a healthy hive – in murals around the world. To date, he has created 35 murals and installations with over 8600 hand-painted bees. He has reached hundreds of thousands of people and created large-scale works at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo in Washington DC, Dag Hammarskjold Plaza in NYC and Burt’s Bees Global Headquarters. He has collaborated with the World Council of Peoples for the United Nations (WCPUN) and NYC Parks’ Art in the Parks Public Art Program. He has painted in a Tony Winning Broadway star’s dressing room in NYC, at a fire station in the American south and at schools across the country and in the UK. In October of 2021 his bees will be displayed at the American Embassy in Beijing, China.

Joel is an educator, broadcaster and speaker, who weaves his eclectic life experiences into stories and anecdotes that resonate. A lifelong human rights activist, Joel’s journey took a new path when going vegan in 2016. Since then he has become a viral star of the vegan scene and worked with organisations such as Investec, Salesforce and KPMG with their internal culture strategies.
Joel founded the Black in the Open (BITO) Institute in the wake of George Floyd’s untimely death to leverage more accountability from organisations with regard to systemic biases within their practices and protocols. BITO also looks at ways of opening up ring-fenced resources and making them readily available to marginalised and/or disadvantaged groups by way of a value exchange.

Seth is an accomplished global technology and media advisor and investor. He specialises in helping organisations to create more human, agile environments, while capitalising on emerging technologies to enable work/life balance.
Formerly global technology lead at Twitter, Seth has led fast-growing teams architecting, scaling, and selling transformational business strategies for brands such as Samsung, Google, Microsoft, IBM, Spotify, HBO, Disney, Electronic Arts, Showtime, Sony, and others. Oliver has over a decade of experience working in venture building with companies of all sizes from start-ups to multinationals.
Having started his professional career as a corporate lawyer, he advised conglomerates, large family trading houses, family offices and private equity funds on their strategic M&A, joint ventures and group re-organisations.
Oliver has a deep involvement with key institutional players who put ESG, sustainability and impact at the core of what they do in business. In particular, Oliver has a strong understanding of emerging markets, helping clients navigate the institutional voids and realities of business that can exist in-country and how to deliver purpose in such environments.
Oliver has worked with some of the leading renewable energy platforms in Europe, is a co-owner of the international fashion platform Label Labs who focus on building and distributing truly sustainable fashion brands. He is also an advisor to impact investment funds.
Oliver is also passionate about yoga, vegetarian cooking and mountaineering.

Lara is a management consultant who focuses on equity, inclusion and well-being. She is known for being a disruptor and challenging the status quo. She has worked with big 4 consultancies for 10 years, influencing them and their clients and partnering with the government and various third sector organisations on equity related programmes. Lara has now joined Kin & Co as a DEIB (diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging) culture change director and she continues to hold other NED positions.
Outside the workplace, Lara is a yoga teacher and a mental health activist who shares her journey to break the stigma and inspire positive change.
